PORT LANDS BRIDGES

Xaever Mand contributed to the project while working at Grimshaw Architects.

The Port Lands Bridges is a key infrastructure addition to the Villiers Island development on the Toronto waterfront. The family of multimodal bridges will provide connections for pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles and in the future a light rail system between the development and the downtown area. A unique feature of the design is the utilization of bent steel plate steel structure in the place of traditional truss systems.
